Priyanka ousted from 'Milan Talkies'

Just a couple of weeks ago, we reported how Imran Khan had been replaced by Shahid Kapoor in the upcoming small town romance Milan Talkies. The news created quite a stir as it would reunite exes Shahid and Priyanka Chopra after last year's disastrous Teri Meri Kahaani. However, news trickling in is that PC too will no longer be part of the project, and that she's been replaced by Shraddha Kapoor, who's on a high after the super success of Aashiqui 2 earlier this year.

Shraddha Kapoor is on a roll after Aashiqui 2

"They (the Milan Talkies team) haven't got back to me," said Priyanka recently.

"After Bullett Raja where he has cast Saif and Sonakshi together for the first time, Tigmanshu and his producer Ekta Kapoor were keen to cast another untried pair in Milan Talkies. Imran and Priyanka made a lot of box-office sense together. But when Imran opted out and was replaced by Shahid Kapoor, Tigmanshu had no choice but to replace Priyanka since Shahid and Priyanka together after Teri Meri Kahaani spelt doom," said a source to Bollywood Hungama.

"After Aashiqui 2, Tigmanshu feels Shraddha can carry off the complex dramatic moments as well as the light-hearted interludes in Milan Talkies," added the source.

However Priyanka doesn't seem to fazed by losing out on the film.

PC isn't too fazed about losing out on the film

"At the moment Mary Kom is her only emotionally challenging role. That apart PC is looking for a change of mood after Saat Khoon Maaf, Barfi and Teri Meri Kahaani," said a source close to the actress.

Do you think Shraddha and Shahid will look good together or should the makers have stuck to Imran and Priyanka? Let us know below.
