Ghanchakkar - Raanjhnaa clash averted

Releasing two films on the same day is never a good idea. More so when both of them are of a similar genre. Initially, Rajkumar Gupta's Ghanchakkar and the Dhanush-Sonam Kapoor starrer Raanjhnaa were supposed to release on the same day, but it seems the producers of the latter have seen sense and pre-poned the release of their contemporary love story.
"When the calendar came out this year, Raanjhnaa was supposed to release on 21 June along with Ghanchakkar. Now with Ghanchakkar releasing on 28 June, the makers of Raanjhnaa have decided to come on 21 June," said a source to IANS.
Raanjhnaa is a small town romance and is directed by Aanand L. Rai, while Ghanchakkar is a situational comedy about an ex conman and his over ambitious wife. It stars Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan.
